Ghanaian musician Teacha Energy has opened up about the challenges he faces in his music career, describing the struggle as tougher than engaging in galamsey (illegal mining).
Born Precious Danso Ampofi, the artiste made the remarks during an interview with DJ Osebo on Agonaba FM, where he expressed frustration over the lack of support for emerging musicians despite years of hard work.
According to Teacha Energy, he has recorded over 52 songs, but his major release titled “Alphabetical Corner” has been tipped as his biggest potential hit so far.
He revealed that the song was inspired by Patapaa, whose unconventional music journey continues to motivate him. Teacha Energy noted that Patapaa’s rise to fame, particularly after the release of his hit song “One Corner,” gave him the confidence to believe that consistency and originality can eventually pay off.
“The story of Patapaa encourages me a lot. It shows that no matter where you start from, a breakthrough is possible,” he said.
Despite the optimism, the “Alphabetical Corner” hitmaker appealed to investors and music lovers beyond to support his career, stressing that emerging artistes need encouragement, airplay, and promotion to survive in the competitive music industry. He also mentioned that one of his favorite songs is titled “My Own“.
Teacha Energy remains hopeful that with the right support, his music will gain not only local but international recognition it deserves.
