It appears the long-standing feud between singer Patapaa and rapper Sarkodie is far from over, as Patapaa has once again called out the rapper in a recent interview.
Patapaa still holds on to bitterness after Sarkodie threw jabs at him in a song years ago.
In 2018, Sarkodie’s verse on Ypee’s track, “Me Y3 Guy”, included a line that read: “Had it not been for God blessing me with money, Patapaa would have performed at my burial service.”
Patapaa took this as a personal jab, which led to a public response from him and sparked an ongoing discussion that continues to this day.
However, recently, in excerpts of an interview with Nana Romeo shared on X on September 18, 2025 Patapaa criticized Sarkodie, describing him as a mere mortal who has no control over his destiny.
He firmly stated that Sarkodie is not God and, as such, he has no reason to apologise to him.
According to Patapaa, his rise to fame was due to divine intervention, not any individual’s influence, certainly not Sarkodie’s. Therefore, the “Non-Living Thing” hitmaker cannot ruin his career.
“No one should tell me to apologise to Sarkodie because he is not God. He is the one who spoke against me, so why should I apologise to him? No one on earth can tell me to apologise to Sarkodie, and I will listen,” he said.
“I come from a royal family, and I hate nonsense. When you speak against me, I won’t let it go,” he added.
Patapaa went on to allege that some media personalities have been sidelining his music due to his beef with Sarkodie.
“Because of my beef with Sarkodie, some media personalities have stopped playing my songs. But I actually have more songs than Sarkodie. In fact, they can stop playing my songs, I don’t care. Sarkodie didn’t make me a star; it is God who made me who I am today,” he declared.
